Glue-in Neodymium pot magnets are a type of Neodymium pot magnet where Neodymium disc magnets are embedded in a durable steel casing. The steel casing guides the magnetic flux lines downward toward the holding surface, creating a particularly strong magnetic force at the surface of contact with ferromagnetic counterparts. However, if there is no direct contact with the counterpart, or if the counterpart is thin, painted, or rough, the magnet’s holding power may be reduced. This design also protects the brittle Neodymium magnet from cracking or chipping during repeated mechanical shocks.
Dut to the lack of mounting options like hole, glue-in Neodymium pot magnets are often glued into suitable holes or fixtures when a screw is not possible option. These magnets have a higher pull force than Neodymium pot magnet with countersunk hole or straight hole of the same size due to the larger contact surface.
