Ferrite eyelet magnets are a type of ferrite pot magnet where Neodymium disc magnets are embedded in a durable steel casing. The steel casing channels the magnetic flux lines downward toward the holding surface, creating a particularly strong magnetic force at the surface of contact with ferromagnetic counterparts. This design also protects the fragile ferrite magnet from cracking or chipping under repeated shocks.
While there are distinct differences between eyelet and eyebolt, the magnet industry often regards them as the same due to a lack of mechanical knowledge. Ferrite eyelet magnets feature an eyelet located on the non-magnetic face, which is screwed into an existing socket screw (internal threaded bushing). While they are not as strong as Neodymium eyelet magnets, ferrite eyelet magnets still provide effective holding power for moderately heavy items. They are ideal for hanging lighter objects, tools, lights, signs, banners, and for organizing cables, wires, and other items.
