Ι What Are Neodymium Sphere Magnets?
Neodymium magnets are a type of permanent magnet made from an alloy of Neodymium (Nd), Iron (Fe), and Boron (B). Often referred to as “Neo magnets” or “NdFeB magnets,” these terms are shorthand for “Neodymium” and “Neodymium Iron Boron,” respectively.
Neodymium sphere magnets, also known as buckyballs or magnetic balls, are spherical-shaped Neodymium magnets that were first introduced to the customer market as “buckyballs” at the New York International Gift Fair in 2009. The polarity configuration of Neodymium sphere magnets is similar to the Earth’s magnetic field, with the poles located at opposite ends of the sphere. These magnets are commonly used in a variety of applications, including consumer products, stress-relief products, educational toys, scientific demonstrations, and have become a popular medium in artistic creations, where their magnetic properties allow for the construction of intricate designs and sculptures.
