Ι What Are Neodymium Block Magnets?
Neodymium magnets are a type of permanent magnet made from an alloy of Neodymium (Nd), Iron (Fe), and Boron (B). Often referred to as “Neo magnets” or “NdFeB magnets,” these terms are shorthand for “Neodymium” and “Neodymium Iron Boron,” respectively. Neodymium magnets are known for their exceptional strength, making them the most powerful permanent magnets available today.
Neodymium block magnets are one of the simplest shapes of strong Neodymium magnets, characterized by their rectangular or cuboid shape. They are typically measured by their length, width, and height, with the differences between the three dimensions not as pronounced as with Neodymium bar magnets. The magnetization direction of these magnets is not necessarily aligned with the thinnest dimension, also unlike Neodymium bar magnets.
