What Are Magnetic Stator Assemblies?
Magnetic stator assemblies are magnetic assemblies used in certain permanent magnet (PM) motor designs. In these assemblies, permanent magnets are mounted on the stator side and combined with a housing or related structural parts.
The permanent magnets used in magnetic stator assemblies, also known as stator magnets, may include Neodymium magnets, Samarium Cobalt magnets, ferrite magnets, and bonded magnets. These magnets are commonly made in rectangular, arc, and ring forms, depending on the motor structure and assembly requirements.
Once mounted to the housing, the stator magnets provide a steady magnetic field. This magnetic field then interacts with the rotor or other moving part during operation.
