However, in practice, achieving such contact is rare since objects at the bottom of water bodies often have irregular shapes and are covered in debris. Thus, a stronger magnet is recommended to compensate for these common irregularities. Furthermore, larger objects require more powerful magnets to extract them from their underwater resting places.

The rising popularity of fishing magnets has caught the attention of cross-border e-commerce practitioners in China, leading to market confusion, predominantly due to inflated product labels. This issue stems from intense price competition and users overvaluing the strength they can handle. Additionally, consumers often lack the ability to accurately assess the actual strength of the magnets.
