What Are Diametrically Multipole Magnetized Magnets?
Diametrically multipole magnetized magnets, also known as diametrically multipolar magnetized magnets, primarily refer to ring magnets where alternating North (N) and South (S) poles are arranged around the circumference of the magnet, either on the outer diameter (O.D.) or the inner diameter (I.D.) surfaces. Unlike standard diametrically magnetized magnets, which have a single North and South pole across the diameter, multipole magnetization creates multiple pole pairs, significantly enhancing the magnetic flux distribution. This characteristic is why diametrically multipole magnetized magnets are often referred to as multipole ring magnets.
The magnetization process for these magnets involves specialized magnetizing fixtures that generate a controlled magnetic field on the O.D. or I.D. surfaces, allowing for the precise creation of the required number of poles on the designated working surface.
